Hon. Balogun Present N9.89B for 2025 Budget

By Olawale Samson Awaye The Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Balogun Olaniyi Afeez, has presented the 2025 appropriation bill to the 9th Legislative Council. The proposed budget totals ₦9,894,011,092.84, representing a substantial increase compared to the previous budget. According to Hon. Balogun, this budget aims to ensure equitable wealth distribution across the local government, aligning with global best practices concerning the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and adhering to the ISEYA mantra of Governor Dapo Abiodun. The budget's allocation includes: _Consolidated Revenue Charges (CRFC): 48.45%_, _Capital Expenditure: 21.69%_, _Salaries and allowances: 17.95%_ and _Running Costs: 11.90%_. Amotekun Corps Partners with Abeokuta South LG for Enhanced Security

In a meeting held on Monday at the council's secretariat, the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Balogun Olaniyi Afeez (BOA), emphasized his administration's commitment to securing life and property across the local government area. Represented by the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. Mustapha Kodaolu, Hon. Balogun noted that security matters are a top priority for the local government. During the meeting, Hon. Mustapha recalled the Executive Chairman's "i-W.I.S.H." Program, launched during his first 100 days in office.
