Abeokuta South LG Seals Halmod, Spare Parts Market, Others Over Revenue Violations

22nd May 2025 Shakiru Olajumoke In a bid to ensure proper coordination and curb violations of revenue payment obligations, the Revenue Collection and Monitoring Unit of Abeokuta South Local Government on Thursday sealed several business premises, including the popular Halmod Complete Entertainment located at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat in Abeokuta. Also affected were the spare parts market at Isale Igbehin and multiple shops at Gbangba Market in Ijaye, all sealed by the local government’s revenue enforcement team. Leading the operation, the IGR Consultant to the local government, Mr. Olayinka Adenuga, explained that the enforcement was part of efforts to ensure strict compliance with the administration’s revenue generation mandate.
