Abeokuta South Council Chairman Celebrates Rep. Afolabi Afuape on His Birthday

The Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Balogun Olaniyi Afeez, has extended heartfelt birthday wishes to Hon. Afolabi Moruf Afuape, the Member of the House of Representatives representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.


In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by Hon. Waheed J. Amerinso, the Supervisor for Information, Education, and Sports, the local government administration praised Rep. Afuape for his outstanding contributions to the development of the constituency, Ogun State, and Nigeria at large.


“Your exemplary service and steadfast commitment to the growth and development of our constituency have not gone unnoticed,” the statement read. “As a true grassroots politician, your efforts have brought meaningful progress and hope to countless lives across Abeokuta South.”


The message described Afuape as a dedicated public servant whose legislative work has continued to uplift the people. It further expressed prayers for good health, renewed strength, and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.


“May this new chapter bring even greater accomplishments,” the council chairman said in his message. “We, the good people of Abeokuta South, extend our warmest wishes for a joyful birthday and a prosperous year ahead.”


Hon. Afuape, a prominent figure in Ogun State politics, has served in various public roles and is widely regarded as a committed advocate for grassroots development.

In addition, health insurance coverage was provided for commercial motorcycle riders (Okada operators) and elderly residents, further demonstrating the administration’s commitment to social welfare. Looking ahead, the council has approved and commenced the construction of a 1.3-kilometre road in Kuto, Abeokuta, as part of its ongoing infrastructure development drive.
