The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), the Aka Ikenga Political Forum, and representatives from the Ogun State College of Nursing Science.


During the visit on Thursday, April 17th, the chairman took time to engage with each group separately. The NCS team, led by Deputy Controller Sanni O, congratulated the chairman on his emergence and expressed a desire to foster a cordial relationship with his office.

The NYCN Abeokuta delegation, led by their coordinator, Comrade Fatai Adesina, also extended their congratulations and conveyed their intention to collaborate with the administration of Hon, Balogun Olaniyi Afeez to promote youth development in the community. They emphasized the need for the government to intensify efforts in supporting youth initiatives.

Additionally, the student union executives from the Ogun State College of Nursing Science led by the Union president (Comrade Ogunremi Michael) and representatives from the Aka Ikenga Political Forum led by Chief Okoro expressed their confidence in the Balogun-led administration. They highlighted the necessity for increased infrastructural development in healthcare and greater political engagement for ethnic groups outside the Yoruba community in Abeokuta South.

In response, the chairman reinstated his administration commitment in supporting all the group and expresses his gratitude for their visits and shared his plans, particularly focusing on areas that directly impact each group. Hon.Balogun reiterated his promise of making Abeokuta south a destination of choice in the state, as he states his commitment to work hand in hand with every organisation whose sole purpose is the upliftment of the people of Abeokuta South.

Looking ahead, the council has approved and commenced the construction of a 1.3-kilometre road in Kuto, Abeokuta, as part of its ongoing infrastructure development drive.
